IMPACT

Pure Spa is a luxury spa located in Chicago, Illinois. They specialize in facials, massages, and skincare. When I was introduced to the founders, they needed help. They did not have a logo or cohesive brand guidelines, and their website was a clunky, slow-to-load experience.

While working with Pure Spa, I was able to:

  • Create a solid logo and brand identity
  • Create easy-to-use brand guidelines
  • Redo their website to be user-friendly
  • Revamp their social media presence
  • Create scalable templates that needed minimal design knowledge to use
  • Create impactful email campaigns
  • and more.

Where do we start??

When I started working with Pure Spa, they didn’t know where to start with their marketing. They had an established customer base, but inconsistent branding, no real logo, and really wanted to scale their social media and bookings – but weren’t sure how to do that.

As a first step, I worked with them to create a new logo and brand guidelines. We talked through their goals, created moodboards an initial mockups and finalized the guidelines and logo below.

Massaging the website into place

Once we had Pure Spa’s new logo and guidelines, it was time to redo their website. The website required a complete overhaul, suffering from heavy technical debt – slow load times, unused (live) pages, and confusing CTAs. For the new site, I created wireframes and mockups, centering content around services and CTAs before moving to implementation in WordPress. I added sections on services, offerings, and made it easier overall to book an appointment. I also created an easy-to-update seasonal banner that could be swapped out for different monthly promotions.

New brand, new look, new me

In addition to brand and web enhancements, I also worked with Pure Spa on their social media and email campaigns. We came up with a posting strategy and I created both copy and images. We primarily utilized Facebook and Instagram and saw an increase in engagement over time. We ran campaigns around self-care, tips, “ask an expert” and various promotions. On the email front, I helped them write, design and schedule new emails (and marketing print collateral) when they had new or updated promotions in the studio. When we were getting close to wrapping up our engagement, I also helped the founders start thinking through next steps when it came to video promotion.
